    Cornerstones Weekly News

Week beginning Monday 2nd November 2020

Things we will be exploring this week:

Hopefully the children will see some fireworks this year even if its just on television. We will be learning the Makaton sign for fireworks.

Our focused vocabulary will be: Catherine Wheel, rocket, sparkling, colourful, explode

    Children’s Sessions

The register for January is being drawn up. If you would like to add to or change your child’s sessions for January, please see Anna or Sue.

If you work, you may be entitled to the 30 hours funding. Please see Anna or Sue for more details.

    Start and Finish Times

Most children now arrive between 9am and 9-15, so please could you make sure your child arrives by 9-15am. If your child arrives at 9, please make sure they are picked up by 12 or 2pm.

    Makaton Signs

We are learning signs for ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.

    Upcoming Events/dates for your diary

Half Term – school closed from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October

Last Day of term – Christmas Party – Tuesday 15th December

All children will be invited to this. More details later.

Please Note: there will be no afternoon school on Monday 14th December and Tuesday 15th December due to staff training

    Other Information:

We still have some water bottles with no names on. This makes it very difficult for staff to ensure the correct drink is given to the right child.

Please do not give your child chocolate spread in their sandwiches. We do not know if it is Nutella and we have a child with a nut allergy.

    Thought of the week:

‘All kids need is a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in them’
